How to deep clean Washroom?

Materials you'll need:
  • 1. Rubber gloves
  • 2. Toilet brush
  • 3. Toilet cleaner (commercial or homemade)
  • 4. White vinegar or lemon juice
  • 5. Baking soda
  • 6. Old toothbrush or small scrub brush
  • 7. Microfiber or cleaning cloth
  • 8. Toilet bowl cleaner (optional)
  • 9. Disinfectant wipes or spray (optional)

  • Step-by-step process:

    1. Put on rubber gloves:

To protect your hands from bacteria and harsh cleaning chemicals, wear rubber gloves before starting the cleaning process.

    2. Flush the toilet:

Start by flushing the toilet to wet the inside of the bowl.

    3. Apply toilet cleaner:

Squirt a generous amount of toilet cleaner around the inside of the bowl, targeting under the rim and along the sides. Make sure to use a cleaner suitable for the type of toilet you have (e.g., ceramic, stainless steel, etc.).

    4. Scrub the inside of the bowl:

Use a toilet brush to scrub the entire inside of the bowl, focusing on areas with stains or mineral deposits. Pay extra attention to the waterline and under the rim. For stubborn stains, you can let the cleaner sit for a few minutes before scrubbing again.

    5. Clean the rim and flush handle:

Dip a cleaning cloth or a disinfectant wipe in a mixture of water and a small amount of mild detergent. Wipe down the toilet seat, lid, and the entire exterior of the toilet, including the flush handle. Remember to clean the area around the base and the back of the toilet as well.

    6. Remove mineral deposits (if necessary):

If your toilet bowl has mineral deposits or hard water stains that the regular cleaner couldn't remove, you can try using vinegar or lemon juice. Pour a cup of vinegar or lemon juice into the toilet bowl and let it sit for a few hours or overnight. Then, scrub the stains with a toilet brush or a pumice stone (specifically designed for toilets).

    7. Clean the tank (optional):

If you want to deep clean the inside of the toilet tank, turn off the water supply to the toilet and flush it to empty the tank. Use a mixture of vinegar and water to clean the tank's interior, including the walls and any accessible parts. Be careful not to use any harsh chemicals that could damage the toilet's components.

    8. Clean the toilet seat and hinges:

If your toilet seat is detachable, remove it to clean it separately. Use a mild detergent and warm water to clean the seat and hinges thoroughly. Rinse and dry before reattaching it to the toilet.

    9. Disinfect (optional):

If you want to go the extra mile for thorough disinfection, use a disinfectant spray or wipes on the surfaces of the toilet. Follow the product instructions for the appropriate contact time for disinfection.

    10. Final touch-up:

To give your toilet a polished look, wipe down the entire exterior with a clean, dry cloth.
